In CEP 460, groups of CEP students are paired with clients to complete an urban planning practicum. My group’s client was the City of Seattle Race & Equity Lab housed in the Office of Civil Rights. As stated in our Initial Report linked below, as student researchers we identified essential spaces throughout Seattle centering people and communities of color. This work was designed to help the City of Seattle better listen to the needs of communities of color and used community-created knowledge to prevent further gentrification and displacement.
